About Netlink Field Notes

What our blog covers and how it works.

How often is the Netlink blog updated?

Netlink Field Notes publishes one or two new posts each month, drawn directly from real jobs and questions our field team encounters. We prioritise practical, hyper-local knowledge over generic listicles — every article is grounded in specific Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock or Upper Hunter site experience.

Who writes the articles?

Our senior technicians, our operations manager and the founder collaborate on each post. Every article is fact-checked by at least one field team member before publication so the technical detail and the pricing indicators match what we're actually installing that season. External contributors are always disclosed.

Can I request a topic?

Yes. If a question isn't answered on the blog — whether it's about NBN, CCTV, fibre splicing, security, TV antennas, intercoms or general communications infrastructure — email hello@thenetlink.com.au with the topic. We consider requests during the monthly writing cycle and often expand a customer question into a full explanatory post.

Are the pricing figures in blog posts current?

Yes. We update pricing indicators annually and cite the specific date whenever we publish market pricing. Regional NSW pricing shifts with material and labour rates, so always confirm current pricing during your enquiry — figures shown on the blog are guides for planning and budgeting, not a substitute for a scoped quote.

Can I share these articles?

Yes. All Netlink Field Notes articles are freely shareable. A short attribution and a link back to the blog (thenetlink.com.au/blog) is appreciated but not required for personal or non-commercial use. Reproduction in commercial publications requires a written request to hello@thenetlink.com.au.

Do you offer training or seminars for trade partners?

On request. We deliver in-house training sessions for architects, builders and project managers on data cabling design, CCTV positioning, fibre backbones for multi-tenant buildings, and NBN business readiness. Sessions run 45–90 minutes and can be delivered at your office or virtually. Contact us for scheduling and pricing.
