Terms and Conditions.
These terms apply to your use of the Netlink website and to the services provided by Netlink to residential and commercial customers across Newcastle, the Hunter and NSW.
Last updated: 27 February 2026
1.Acceptance of these terms
By accessing the Netlink website (https://thenetlink.com.au), requesting a quote, making a booking or engaging Netlink to perform work, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or engage Netlink. Netlink may update these terms from time to time — the current version will always be published at this page.
2.Website information
Information on this website is provided for general purposes only. While Netlink takes reasonable care to keep the content accurate and up to date, prices, product availability, service descriptions and technical details may change without notice. Nothing on this site is a binding offer to sell services at a particular price; a formal written quotation is required for that purpose.
3.Quotations and estimates
Quotations are prepared based on the information supplied by the customer and any site inspection carried out at that time. Unless expressly stated otherwise on the quotation itself, a quotation is valid for the period noted on the document and is subject to a physical on-site inspection of the property.
Where a job is priced based on a description only (for example, a phone or email brief), the quotation is an estimate and the final price may be adjusted if on-site conditions differ materially from what was described. Netlink will inform you of any change before proceeding with additional work.
4.Deposits and payment terms
Payment terms are set out on the applicable quotation, booking confirmation or invoice. For some services a deposit may be requested before work is scheduled. Accepted payment methods include electronic funds transfer, credit card and other methods expressly agreed in writing. Netlink reserves the right to suspend or cease work where an agreed payment has not been received by its due date.
5.Booking and access requirements
When you book a service, you agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the site at the agreed time. This includes access to the property, any relevant rooms, ceiling or wall spaces where cabling or equipment is to be installed, and any power, network or utility isolations required for the work to proceed safely. Where access is not available at the agreed time, Netlink may reschedule the visit and additional charges may apply.
6.Variations and additional work
If, once on-site, the work required differs from what was quoted — for example, additional cable runs, hidden building conditions, or extra materials — Netlink will inform you of the variation and expected cost impact before proceeding. Written or verbal agreement to a variation constitutes acceptance of the revised scope and pricing.
7.Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate site, contact and property information.
- Obtaining any landlord, body-corporate or strata consent required for the work.
- Ensuring your existing systems, wiring or equipment are safe to work on and disclosed to Netlink.
- Backing up important data before any network changes where relevant.
- Providing decisions and information when reasonably requested so the work can proceed.
8.Delays and rescheduling
Netlink makes reasonable efforts to attend at the agreed time and complete the work within a reasonable timeframe. Where delays occur due to weather, third-party providers (such as NBN Co, telecommunications carriers or building managers), equipment availability, safety issues or matters outside Netlink's reasonable control, the timeline may shift. Netlink will keep you informed and reschedule as promptly as practicable.
9.Equipment and product availability
Product availability is subject to supplier stock levels. Where a specified brand or model is not available at the time of installation, Netlink will offer a comparable alternative of equal or better specification, or may adjust the timeline or price by written agreement.
10.Installation limitations
Installation outcomes such as data speeds, camera coverage, signal strength and wireless performance depend on many factors outside Netlink's control — including the building's construction, existing wiring, third-party services, weather, and the customer's own devices. Netlink will design against the site conditions observed and use reasonable skill and care, but does not guarantee any specific speed, signal or performance figure unless expressly written into a quotation.
11.Testing and completion
On completion, Netlink will test the installed work to reasonable industry standards and walk you through the system where practical. For commercial data cabling and structured fibre work, Netlink can provide handover documentation (including AS/CA S009 records where applicable) on request.
12.Warranties
Netlink warrants its installation workmanship against defects arising from faulty installation for the period stated on the applicable quotation or invoice, or otherwise for a reasonable period consistent with industry practice. Product warranties are provided by the equipment manufacturer and passed through to the customer. Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, modification, third-party work, power surges, water damage, storm damage, or fair wear and tear.
13.Consumer rights under Australian law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable law. Where Netlink supplies goods or services to a consumer, the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law apply and prevail over anything inconsistent in these terms.
14.Liability
To the extent permitted by law and subject to any consumer rights that cannot be excluded, Netlink's liability to you for any claim arising out of the supply of services under these terms is limited, at Netlink's election, to re-supplying the affected service, correcting the workmanship defect, or refunding the amount paid for the affected service. Netlink is not liable for indirect, consequential, special or economic loss.
15.Intellectual property
All content on this website — including logos, text, photography, diagrams and design — is owned by Netlink or its licensors. You may view and share links to pages on this website for non-commercial purposes, but you may not reproduce, republish or use Netlink's content for commercial purposes without written permission.
16.Third-party websites
This website may link to third-party sites and services (such as social media platforms, product manufacturers or carrier services). Those sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Netlink is not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party site.
17.Privacy
Netlink handles personal information in accordance with the Netlink Privacy Policy. By using this website or engaging Netlink, you acknowledge the practices described in that policy.
18.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for any dispute arising in connection with these terms or the services provided by Netlink.
