Don't let your NBN upgrade fail.
Most business NBN installs fail due to internal infrastructure issues that NBN technicians aren't equipped to handle. Blocked conduits, missing draw-wires, wrong-place NTDs, ageing Cat5 backbones — we ensure your building is ready before your appointment day.
The 6 issues that break commercial NBN installs.
Every one of these is fixable — before your appointment day. Our Site Readiness Audit checks all six and hands you a fixed-price scope of work.
Older commercial buildings have blocked, corroded or oversized conduits that stop NBN's fibre puller cold. We inspect and remediate internal pipes, ceiling voids and riser paths so the new fibre can be pulled cleanly from the PCD (Premises Connection Device — the outside entry point) all the way to your preferred office location.
By default the NBN technician terminates at the nearest wall to the fibre entry. That's rarely near your comms rack. We plan and install internal cabling so the NTD (Network Termination Device) is positioned exactly where your server rack, patch panel or head-end lives — no more crossing the office with a lead cable.
Commercial wall paths, bends and long conduits are the #1 reason NBN techs walk away without finishing. We install draw-wires (pull-strings) through your building's cable paths ahead of the appointment so the fibre pull is quick, safe and successful on the day.
It's no use paying for a 1 Gbps NBN Enterprise Ethernet plan if your internal Cat5 backbone caps out at 100 Mbps. We evaluate every cable and outlet, replace ageing Cat5 with Cat6 or Cat6A, and re-terminate patch panels so your internal network actually delivers the speed you're paying for.
We identify the exact 240V power outlet locations and structural fixings required for your new NBN equipment (NTD, PoE switch, router, UPS) — then hand you a marked-up plan so your licensed electrician can install the outlets in the correct positions ahead of NBN's appointment.
NBN's standard install has cable-length limits that are often exceeded on large warehouses, factories and multi-storey buildings. We design and build private, internal fibre or Cat6A links between the PCD entry point and your chosen NTD location — sized, tested and certified for your site.
