What do you need from us to price a tender?
As a minimum: floor plans, cable/data-outlet schedule, comms-room location and any preferred brands or specifications. A program of works and site-induction requirements help us price the labour more precisely. If a spec calls for OTDR certification, staged handover or after-hours work, note that too.
How quickly can you turn a tender bid around?
Straightforward tenancy fit-outs typically 3-5 business days from receipt of documents. Larger multi-building or D&C submissions with a site walk are usually 7-10 business days. Tell us the tender close date on submission and we'll confirm turnaround before starting.
Do you handle multi-site rollouts?
Yes. Regional retail and hospitality groups regularly use us for a consistent CCTV or cabling standard across Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter sites — same platform, same NVR standard, unified monitoring.
Can you meet program dates?
We schedule rough-in, terminate, patch and test as separate site visits so cabling fits cleanly around plasterers, ceilers, painters and shopfitters. Tell us the critical dates and we'll book the crew accordingly.
What documentation do you provide on handover?
For structured cabling: AS/CA S009 registered cabler handover, patch schedule, cabling records and (where required) fibre OTDR test results. For CCTV/access control: system diagram, camera coverage plan, user credentials and warranty details.
Are you fully insured?
Yes — public liability and appropriate professional indemnity cover. Certificates of Currency are available on request for prequalification systems (e.g. Rapid Global, Cm3, Avetta).

Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock, Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley without travel loading. Central Coast and interstate multi-site rollouts on request.

How Netlink prices commercial tenders.
Line-item priced against your BoQ
We price to your engineer's Bill of Quantities line-by-line rather than a lump-sum. Every outlet, patch panel, camera drop, fibre splice and consumable is separately identified so your quantity surveyor can compare like-for-like against other bidders. Rate schedules and unit rates are called out so any post-award variations can be priced against the same rates.
Prime-cost items called out
Any prime-cost items — specialised active hardware (specific switch or NVR models), non-standard fibre patch leads, third-party integration work — are called out separately in the schedule so your QS can substitute if a client-directed variation lands. This keeps the base tender number stable and moves the variation risk to the correct side of the ledger.
Fixed prelim rates
Site establishment, permit coordination, safety documentation, out-of-hours access, waste management and traffic management are quoted at fixed prelim rates so there are no scope-of-work surprises. Prelims typically sit at 8–12% of the base scope for commercial cabling work and are agreed in writing before the head contractor commits the sub-contract.
Provisional sums for scope-uncertain items
Where a scope-uncertain item exists — for example, a contingency for fire penetrations without a confirmed count — we quote a provisional sum with a unit rate so the head contractor can true-up at practical completion. Provisional sums are always accompanied by the underlying unit rate so both sides can reconcile without disputes.
Program-adherent programme dates
Our tender submissions include a programmed sequence dated against your master programme, showing pre-Practical Completion phases (rough-in, first fix, second fix) and post-PC defect windows. Where our critical path depends on another trade (electrical, ceilings, HVAC), that dependency is called out so the head contractor's planner can coordinate.
GST-exclusive and GST-inclusive summary
Every tender submission includes both a GST-exclusive summary (for internal financial review) and a GST-inclusive summary (for principal-facing documents). All rates are shown as unit values so scope creep during the build phase can be priced consistently against the original tender.
